Distributed 500 high-quality winter blankets
On January 28, 2025, PHALS (Program for Helpless and Lagged Society) took a heartfelt step toward supporting vulnerable individuals by distributing 500 high-quality winter blankets across three unions—Chowfoldondi, Varuwakhali, and Pourasava/Municipality of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila. The distribution event, held at the PHALS Complex Premises, was graced by the esteemed presence of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and the PHALS Executive Director. Both dignitaries delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the power of community-driven initiatives in uplifting those in need. Beyond simply providing warmth, PHALS ensured that the blankets were of standard and high quality—prioritizing durability and enhanced insulation to offer lasting comfort. This initiative underscores PHALS’ unwavering commitment to quality over quantity, ensuring that each recipient benefits not just in the short term but well into the future.
To uphold transparency and accountability, PHALS also set up a Community Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM) desk at the distribution site. This allowed community members to voice their feedback and concerns, reinforcing PHALS’ dedication to an inclusive and responsive humanitarian approach.
